All of the doctoral degrees at Fielding Graduate University are completed mostly online, however, there are some times when students are required to study on-campus.

The online component of the degree consists of electronic seminars, collaborative research among students and faculty, faculty meetings and committee work, and cluster forums for discussion. This may seem like a lot, but because a doctoral degree can take up to 8 or more years to complete, this can be spread out among the years.  I suspect this stringent requirement is one reason why the Fielding Graduate University Online Clinical Psychology Program is accredited by the American Psychological Association. Because of  this difference in residency length, it is important to check with your program to ensure that you are able to commit the time necessary for residency to graduate.
