I never thought I would see the day when studying for my PhD was more than a dream.  Now it’s a reality.

Why?  Did I win the lottery and quit my job, relocate to a school with a PhD program in my field and devote my life to coursework?

Online Accelerated PhD Program Choices

When I started looking for accelerated PhD programs, I could hardly believe the number of choices available.  Or the number of scams.  But it soon became really obvious which courses were reputable.  First, there was accreditation.  On my part, I limited myself to programs offered by institutions that were regionally accredited; that is, accredited by the exact same associations as traditional colleges.  And I chose one with a decades-long track record–no fly-by-night schools for me.

Accelerated PhD Program–Who Should Consider One?

Don’t get me wrong.  An online PhD program is way more convenient than a traditional program, and there’s no way I could have gotten my PhD without this option.  But the challenge was just as intense.  These are real programs, to get real degrees.  Don’t enroll with the idea that this some course you can skate through; you’re going to earn your degree.  But if you have what it takes, and things like scheduling, location, and time-to-completion have held you back, you don’t need to be held back anymore!
