An Online Distance Learning PhD Degree allows you to earn a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.), the highest degree level you can attain in a variety of academic fields. Typically, students who pursue an online doctorate degree choose to go into research, teaching, or administration.
In addition to an online PhD degree, you may also be interested in an Online Doctor of Education (Ed.D.). Although both degrees confer the title of Doctor upon successful completion of the program, both degree programs vary depending on the university and intent of the program.
